If you believe you'd also do a great job then I'd encourage you to run for the CPM1. The plan (currently) is for Elections to be held in the run up to Fanfest - subject to change, but more details to come.

There are going to be so many people with no idea what they're doing.

CCP needs to have the final say on all candidates if you ask me, it's going to be FAR too easy to pick up popular people who just aren't good fits for the position. It seems like as a whole, CPM0 has been pretty successful, difficult to say specifically thanks to the nature of CPM and NDA's, but overall it seems like a success.

Handing that decision over to this community...is....unsettling...

honestly I'm a game developer by trade, I've played both eve and dust, I've worked as a consultant for several online games in the past as well.

I'd honestly like to be on the cpm for this game, but from what I've seen the cpm doesn't accomplish anything anyway so I doubt it would be worth the frustration or my time.

as mentioned by many it seems like it's just way to gain insider information, which is honestly not what i'd want to be on the cpm for.

I'm here waiting for you to run again and make sure you crash and burn like last time.

First don't accuse me of something I didn't do it. Second, and most important when said person (Our Eve employer of all people) shopped personal information of yours and jenza's I went to proper people about it. It's just a game and no one deserves for it to be made personal.

I'd love to be a part of the CPM just because I'm not biased towards one thing or another. I'm also not aligned to any certain corp or group, leaving me very neutral. Instead, I usually rely on facts to form any opinions I might have about the game or issues.

If you've seen my videos, I want to help the community, not hurt it. I fully support Dust and will do so for many years to come. I am very active in-game and on the forums, always looking for chances to help other players, or to explain things that have been brought up by the DEVs.

The things I'd like to push towards:

-Better NPE (new player experience)
Obviously with the new tutorials, CCP is already trying to make steps towards this. I would like to see a much wider range of options for players to choose from in the beginning (especially with all 4 racial rifles now) instead of just militia ARs, snipers, and swarm launchers. The starting fits need to showcase medium, light, and heavy frames, along with each type of equipment (seriously, I never knew about the repair tool until I had played the game for 3 months).

On top of that, having a new way to progress in skills would be the logical next step. Having "pre-fit" dropsuits that you can buy in the market for isk, along with a skill list that tells you how much sp you need in order to unlock each skill required for that fitting, and how much sp you need total for the fitting. I don't know how similar this is to the certificate system in EVE, but something like this would be very helpful.

-Proper bonuses for suits/roles to define them better.
They've already stated that they were working on new logistics bonuses to better differentiate them from assault suits, but I feel there needs to be a complete rework just like they did with tanks. There are just some bonuses that don't make much sense currently, like the reduction in weapon feedback for sentinels, or the melee bonus for minmatar scouts.

The Amarr Assault bonuses are a great example of what I'd like to see more of. The assault bonus gives faster shield regeneration as a passive bonus to the suit, whereas the Amarr bonus reduces the heat buildup of laser weapons, a bonus that applies to something EQUIPPED to the suit. Minmatar Logistics on the other hand gets two passive bonuses to the suit...armor regeneration and a hacking bonus. While I do like the extra hacking speed, a bonus to the minmatar repair tool would be much better as a logistics bonus. OR we could have more options like "suit proficiency" that would further allow us to increase our suit's capabilities, giving us a way to keep that extra passive bonus in there.

I post a thread to bash ccp because ccp gave you credit for what kane was doing it with OB events. It's had nothing to do with you until you scrubby minions came in and defended you (which caused the thread to be about you). Turned into a threadnaught, then you posted your intentions to run for csm. Which made you look bad blah blah blah you pulled out of race.

So the joke, incase you missed is was I actually did nothing. I hate when i have to explain stuff like this is ruins the joke.

i'm running. I played eve for two years to get ready for dust, and I spend most of my time teaching dust players how to fly fast frigs in eve.

I believe that pve should only be introduced if there is a non-consensual pvp aspect of it as that would keep it in line with eve.

I believe the current cpm is full of carebears who have never shown up in molden heath to fight me.

if we want dust514 to be a hardcore game, we need to make it fun for hardcore gamers.

It's tough to commit the time, energy, and care for the "community" while maintaining a life, playing DUST, and not being paid for your efforts; all while having to deal with well thought out posts like the above quote. Nevermind the senseless hate you automatically attract because people feel the need to force their opinions on others, and automatically assume their opinion is fact.

I'd like to run but I'm waiting until much later to set anything out right now. It seems a little premature to do so this early. Then again it's me here, I literally refused to get out of my mothers womb.
